Il y a quelques mois, j'avais fait une aquarelle de l'oratoire de la Cierne à Semsales, une aquarelle que j'ai trouvé par la suite un peu trop touffue, trop retravaillée. Bref, elle ne me plaisait plus. Du coup, je me suis remis au travail et j'en ai réalisé une acrylique sur papier. Maintenant, je me demande de quelle manière je dois l'encadrer. Diriger le regard du visiteur vers le sujet? Ou lui laisser plus d'espace et lui laisser la liberté de s'évader du tableau? Si vous avez des suggestions...
A couple of months ago, I already painted a watercolor of this subject. Then I found it too overworked and I didn't feel happy with it any longer. So I decided to work it differently and painted this acrylic. Now the question is how to frame it. Should I drive the visitor to the main subject? Or should I live more space and let the visitor "escape" the main subject and finish the painting himself? If you have any suggestion....
